You know I hate giving up on books and you all know it's being pretty hard to me to read. Probably because I am enjoying so much watching anime and series. So my goal to April & May if needed it's finish the books I am currently reading for several months...

First of all it's 
Is it Wrong to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon vol 5. I am currently at page 68 with a total of 288 pages. Since is a light novel is quite easy to read so this seems to be the easy one...

Basically for those who watch the anime this is the last book adapted by it. 

Then we've got from Black Library Gotrek and Felix The anthology. I am at page 253 to a total 412. After finish Zombieslayer I want to catch up with other G&F novels that were released. They are canon but don't follow the plot of Zombieslayer but are set between those books. For some reason I am not aware Nathan Long stop writing G&F stories but BL decided to milk the cow a bit more... After these novels (4 novels total) I am going to try NL Ulrika or CL Werner Thanquol series.

Then we have Carpathia by Matt Forbeck. I am at page 94 of 308 and I am little bored with the novel and it's a top contender to drop but since it's quite easy read I am going to try again...

The Ambassador Chronicles by Graham Mcneill is comprised of two novels. They are set in old warhmammer world of Kislev. The two novels are called The Ambassador & Ursun Teeth. Having read the first I wanted to read Ursun Teeth. Started last year but stop reading...At page 50 of 288 (more or less since is a omnibus). I enjoy the novel but...

Curse of Necrach is the last BL novel I am currently reading. It's was written by Steven Savile one of my favourite writers in Warhammer (unfortunately this was his last book there). Well I am at the beginning so probably gonna start again from scracth. I am at page 33 of 409

Richard Laymon's Endless Night is the horror book I am reading. Having start at January because Laymon's books are quite easy to read (albeit a bit weak) I start reading and I stay at page 116 of 470.

Then there are two most interesting novels that I stop reading for different reasons. One is Children of Time by Adrian Tchaikovsky. Stay at 50 of 600 so gonna be a little tricky. Quite good novel. Started last august... But it was a hard book to get into it... But I will finish.


The other one is a fictionalize angels vs demons set in amidst the bubonic plague in France. France is turmoil in a endless war with England and suffering from the Plague. I start reading because I kickstarter a game called Time of Legends with the same premise. It's a bit a while since I pick it up but I am going to finish. I am at page 222 of 426. The book is called Between two fires by Christopher Buehlman. Sure is a grimdark reading - the way I like it.

All in all it's more than 1700 pages... I highly doubt it to ended in one month BUT I will try.

This show is about beautiful animals all working together against the  pigs - nah that's a book :)

For a girl who doesn't wear bra her boobs defy gravity - talk about a Ratel!

This is a anime focus on battle royal show where half-humans half-animal fight one another (Therianthrope). Each one develops the skill of an animal (like hippopotamus, gorilla, tiger and other less know but respectable animals like our main character a Ratel (like the honey badger or wolverine). I didn't knew but they are quite powerful since they can even repelled an attack from a Lion which is ten times as larger. They even go on an offensive when they are trapped. Bee Stings, porcupine quills or other animal bites rarely penetrate their skin. If larger animals like cattle of buffalos intrude their burrow they go on offensive and they are virtually tireless. The only one I didn't knew was and it was the last fight is called a pangolin. Their armour is so strong that in India was costume to hunt them down and make a coat of armor but since they were too hard to find and kill it was for everyone.

Most of these stuff I learn in the anime, others I search. As fights erupt and a knew animal appears we learn from a narrator about that animal - which was one of the most interesting parts of the anime.

The anime itself is not that good in my humble opinion. It focus a lot on battle & fan service - beware, if you turn off by it - there is a lot of it.

So what's this anime about? Well it's about a man (Nomoto) who lives his life bossed around, encounters Hitomi (Ratel) as his friends are trying to rape her. She quickly kills them all and "adopt" him. He learns that Hitomi is a therianthrope of a Ratel and she wants to compete in a Destroyal where teams of therianthropes band and fight other therianthropes. Each Therianthrope follows the guidance of a "family" of some sorts.
And thus begins the quest to meet fellow therianthropes to fight alongside her. First they enlist a hippopotamus and then the cowardly rabbit who only knows to dig holes and run.

As the battles progress we get to see this is more than monster defeating monster but a power struggle between the families which comes in fruitation in the last episode. Btw the last episode made me drop my rating for two things (spoilers)

This got no hentai - I promise. And it's a snake not a octupus ;)

1) This is not a ending but partial ending of some sorts. Something is going to happen we don't know what. I wonder what kind of beast/human will arrive. I can't see any more dangerous animals besides the ones already presented. Probably a white shark?

2) Why did Hitomi had to kill Yuuya? It makes no purpose... I don't really care about killing of characters. I think it gives us something more to fear after all we all thing the main characters don't die. But since it's never fully explained I couldn't understand it... MAybe a second season?

Well overall nice entertaining series BUT don't expect much. Maybe wait until a fully uncensored version? who knows... If it was trying to be a High School DxD but more gory and less comedy (mixing battles with ecchi) it failed. Neverthless good show to watch a episode per week.

I love boardgames, but one thing I really don't understand is the reason the manufactures spent a bit time to give us a good way to storage games. Most of times they are pretty useless. So you have to either spent time & money purchasing inner compartments that come for you to assemble or you make it yourself with foam. Both are time consuming (the latter a LOT of time consuming). 

Or you purchase other stuff to be easier to storage... I usually buy boxes OR use some chocolate boxes from Ferrero Rocher.

In this case (Lobotomy) is a boardgame with both gameplay elements and miniatures. It's a game I am trying to sell since I don't enjoy the gameplay. Way confusing for me.

Well, the stuff on the left I keep on top of the box which has all cardboard stuff & miniatures. The deck cards I keep separated with rubber plastic so it's pretty easy to put them on the table. My only problem here is the minatures which can be a bit problematic althought I separate them by heroes and elites and the minions all together (since there are only 3 different types is not that difficult...

About the game itself. I play only a couple of times and I didn't enjoy as I said. Probably because the rules were stupid and there was a lot of stuff that was not explained. But they release a version 2.0. (You can see it printed in the first photo).

The Lone Drow by R.A. Salvatore

I enjoy the novel. IT took me a while to finish but in the end it was a nice reading that really made me wanna read the next novels in a row.

The tale we follow Drizzt as he tries to recover from the supposedly loss of all his friends. Meanwhile Catti-brie & Wulfgar try to make a stand against the Orcs while Bruenor is almost non-existent since he is in a coma. We also follow Regis as he tries to unite the dwarves in war.

Probably a third of the novel we follow other characters that added to a almost epic fantasy series but unfortunately I don't care about most of them. We follow the drows, Obould, the two elves & other minor characters...

Overall a nice addition but I wished more Drizzt the Hunter. 7/10

Some of our main characters (in second part of Overlord 2)

Another review of another anime but this time about Overlord - one of my favourite series of 2015. With was my sixth anime since my return to anime world I really enjoy it. 


It was what I wanted. A series that connected to me since I read a lot of Warhammer & 40K. I wanted to watch some anime that focus on an evil character and this was it. 

Some characters that never appear (well the brothers (I think) appear in a couple of times).

I love it so much that I even bought the Light Novel and I was really surprised that the first season comprised of the first and second light novels and they made it so good.

The first season focus on Lord Ainz Ooal Gown or Momon who was trapped inside a game BUT DON'T WORRY - this is not SAO. This is more adult, more dark more epic if you like.

After finish the first season I quickly try other animes out there (focus on this premise of trapped within a video game or even Isekai but this one is probably my favourite (closely followed by Konosuba)).

Other main characters from season 2 (last arc)

When I learn that a second season was coming I was excited and true to be told is not as good as the first season. Why, you ask. Well, the first season focus a lot on our main character and the tower they live giving some background on the NPC that live and serve the tower of Nazarick (This in the first 6 episodes).  The next 6 episodes focus a lot on Momon with the help of Narberal as he explores the nearby city and trying to understand how things work (and how different they are from the game).
Meanwhile in the second season, the first six episodes follows a LOT of lizardman (some random guys who live nearby the tower) and what the plans are for them. Here we have a lot of interaction on Cocytus (Guardian of 5th floor) and somewhat in Demiurge (Guardian of 7th floor). The second part of the series focus again on Sebas (a buttler of Nazarick) and other non-related characters of Nazarick like Climb (nice name); evileye (last three episodes), Lakyus, Lord Stronoff, Gagaran, Tia, Brain

My main question is this... WHERE IS ALBEDO???? :) Yeah... there is almost no Albedo. Combining she has what? 5 lines throughout the season?

She looks so Kawaiii - the princess and climb BUT when someone hurts CLIMB she will turn into a psycopath (the bottom left is Sebas love maid)

The second half of the anime we learn that there is power people (well, to Nazarick standards they are like helpless ants) that rule E-Rantel and Momon wants to be a hero and so he with the help of Demiurge and the other Nazarick captains and Pleiades make that happen with some ruse that made some of the most awesome battles I've seen in anime.

I know some people dislike the trope (I do as well) of over-powerful characters like in SAO or Smartphone or Death March BUT here it works because even if he is over-powerful it's not the even the focus on the anime (I mean battles and such). This anime focus a lot on politics and it's what I call High Fantasy (or Epic) like Game of Thrones (minus the sex). It's all about the characters (all of them) and not only Momon. True be told in the second season he appears only in the last two or three episodes. Even Sebas or Demiurge are ovepowerful but the way the artists and writer wrote made them interesting, even if before the battle you already know he or she is going to win. That's why this anime works. The writing skill of the creator. That's why SAO sucks. Because the writer makes all about the main character and made it all too easy - the other characters exist only to give more focus on our main. In Overlord that doesn't happen at all. 

That ending left me wanting for more...WHAT A FIGHT between Momonga & Demiurge (they are still master and peer but - a ruse) Who the heck is that Princess Renner... She looks kawaii and scary as shit!

Demiurge vs Lord Ains

Overall, if you want a dark epic anime, this is it. If you want an evil main character this is it. There are some hints in his monologue in the last episode that hints to that (well throughout the series he always did what we would considered evil BUT in this context it's acceptable... only by watching you would understand...) There is blood and fighting that last 10m per episode. There is comedy as well. Every NPC (Nazarick captains and Pleiades) are different. I really enjoy this show and I hope it doesn't take two years two have a third season.

So, why 8 instead of 9 or 10? Well first of all - NO ALBEDO! eheh and  because some episodes, even if they gave a bit of wide information about the world, it was very sparse and the story really didn't jump forward that much. I think the first 6 episodes were sub-par and in moments I thought this was another anime because the main characters are the lizards. I know the purpose was to give us more info on other races/places but they over do it. The last 6 episodes with Sebas and Demiurge were way better and I would have given a 10 without any question asked... so 6 and 10 divided it's equal 8 eheh

"A place further than the universe..." This is it one of the anime of the year. Not season but year. I have no doubt (although it's just the beginning) that this one and Violet Evergarden will be on top 10 or top 5 of most people. Mahoutsukai no Yome as well but unfortunately this one began last year so I don't know where will it be - unfortunately (again) for the awards Boku Hero Academia is coming and probably will take the prize (even without airing), oh and Steins Gate and Attack on Titan... But original works? This three will be on top 10 no doubt.


So why this anime is good? 8.66 on Mal but I bet will get higher as months and years pass.This is how you make Slice of Life with a great lesson. There are dozens upon dozens of youtube videos that really talk about this better I will ever will.. Here 5 reviews I enjoyed in these videos.

So basically this is a story about 4 new-friends who want to travel to Antarctica. Each one for different reason but they ally with one another to go there.

Shirase (voice of Kana Hanazawa) is trying to go to Antarctica because she wants to go where her mother was lost 3 years ago. Mari wants to go because one day she wake up and was bored of her monotonous life. Yuzuki a child actress (Saori Hayami) needs to go because of some work. She is the main reason all other girls go and Hinata a curious and friendly girl always playing tricks on her friends. As the serious develop, so the characters themselves develop. We learn more about each one, motivation, fears and such.

There are a lot of other side characters, each one pretty well developed since they are only side characters (from the cook, to the girl who left her boyfriend and is afraid of him leaving to the captain (and close friend of Shirase's mother Toudou.


The first 6 to 7 episodes is setting the mood and what they are making to go to Antarctica -this anime went so far to make an episode in Australia and other south east Asia country. We've go to learn about the conditions on what they are doing to achieve that and the last episodes is about the Antarctica expedition as a all plus the culmination of the girls dreams (most of all Shirase).

This anime is a wake up call to people who are standing still and don't know what to do. Don't go to Antarctica BUT start living. This anime took the anime community by storm. IT look like another Cute Girls doing Cute Things but it's a serious anime full of drama.

Prepare to cry in the 12 episode... You will.

Then the last episode (The 13) really was the culmination of a perfect series. It's about realizing what it meant "Antarctica" and what it means to have friends. 

No doubt 10 out 10 and a top 10 of my favorite animes without no reservation. Wish for a new anime - about this girls trying to return to their everyday life. Sure seems hard to return from a journey of our life. After an fantastic holidays it's always hard to return...

About the art and animation? This is Madhouse jewel without any doubt. Perfect little anime. Great music, beautiful Intro and Ending. This is one anime I would without any reservation suggest people who never watch an anime.

So Spring is coming - Going to give my early feedback on some anime that I already watched the first episode and recommendations... 

Gonna think on somekind of terms for recommendation from me...

Name Sweet Punishment (TV) (Not recommend)

Initial Thoughts Well here we go. Every season we have a hentai adult romance where the men forces himself on the helpless woman. Talk about giving a bad hype to anime. Glad these shows are not that known outside our little niche...

Thoughts on watching: With 5m hentai anime of course I am sitting around.

Initial Rating / How's going to perform?  As other animes from this genre I bet the rating of this on MAL is going to be  4.5 to 5.5

Name Uma Musume Pretty Derby (TV) (Unless you play the game OUR love slice of life skip it - Recommend with reservations)

Initial Thoughts So we have a slice of life mix with sports where women-horse girls compete among themselves? I really enjoy PA Works works so I will try to watch more episodes to decide if it's worth it.... Mix of Keijo!!!! with Sakura Quest.

Thoughts on watching: Gonna watch because I enjoy other PA Works but if I don't care about the characters I will drop it. This anime is to be watch 2 or 3 episodes at a time instead one per week.

Initial Rating / How's going to perform? I bet this anime is going to perform between 6.5 to 7.5.  

Name Kakuriyo -Bed & Breakfast for Spirits- (TV) (Not recommend)

Initial ThoughtsThis is Ancient Magus Bride - Remade? A woman is force to marry a Oni? Damn the similarities.

Thoughts on watching: It remind me of Ancient Magus Bride and Youkai Apartment. The animation is okay but nothing that interesting... unless something spike my interest I will drop it.

Initial Rating / How's going to perform? 

This anime will fair bad. I bet under 6.5 UNLESS something happens...

Name Space Battleship Tiramisu (TV) (Not recommend)

Initial Thoughts  This is very odd... A food mecha comedy show? Since it's 7 minutes long only I will watch it..

Thoughts on watching: If this anime wasn't 7 m long I would have dropped in a instance. It's not that good anime. Somewhat entertaining comedy but the mecha part was pretty bad.

Initial Rating / How's going to perform? I would bet a rating under 6. Probably between 5 to 6.3

Name  Captain Tsubasa (TV 2018) (Impartial being here - Sorry) Highly recommendation for nostalogia factor OR a good sports anime)

Initial Thoughts  I will only say - NOSTALOGIA

Thoughts on watching: AWESOME. Anime of the season already!

Initial Rating / How's going to perform? 

To me? 10! But I think the animation is pretty good and the story is very similar to the first anime which is a plus. I believe that unless they screw the football scenes this anime can rate between 7.5/8.

Name Magical Girl Ore (TV) (Recommend with reservations - only if you are into Magical Girls)

Initial Thoughts This anime is so strange yet funny. I believe for the fun factor it will have been good one BUT since there are a lot fan boys of Magical Girls I almost belive this will get criticize a lot

Thoughts on watching: I enjoyed. Gonna watch a couple more episodes but unless it goes wrong I will stay with it.

Initial Rating / How's going to perform?  This is a tricky one. Around 6 to 7

Name GeGeGe no Kitarō (TV 2018) (Recommend with reservations to people who enjoy slice of life mix with Youkai Apartment per example)

Initial Thoughts  Being a Toei show I had some expectations. Having enjoy both Tiger Mask & Kado. The first episode was quite interesting.  Fluid animatino way better than Kado & Tiger Mask.

Initial Rating / How's going to perform? 

IT's a remake. I bet people will enjoy it. Animation is great but it's an anime that could either go two ways...  Between 6 and 7.

Name Fist of the Blue Sky Regenesis (TV) (Cannot recommend - I am going to skip it... )

Initial Thoughts What a heck! This animation sucks so big time. Dropped it.

Thoughts on watching: 

Initial Rating / How's going to perform?  I think this anime doesn't have the means to become Ajin which was "accepted" as a good CGI (not as Land of the Lustrous). But I bet it's going to end with a rating under 6. Probably between 5 to 6.

Name Legend of the Galactic Heroes: Die Neue These (TV) (Highly Recommendation)

Initial Thoughts  WOW

Thoughts on watching:  Having recently watch the first couple of Episodes from the OVA I was expecting much. And this delivered. It's not as good as the OVA (sorry CGI has his problems) because the first OVA divided attention between the two commanders while this anime it does not. It does not show as the first OVA how bad Free Planets Alliance commanders were. Yang almost doesn't appear (althought I prefer the german guy :D)

Initial Rating / How's going to perform? This anime will suffer because of the damned CGI which are usually hated throughout the community. Still, they are not that bad comparing per example with Fist of Blue Sky. I believe people will understand how great this anime is and the rating will be high. Plot and Character wise are very good. Over 8. 

Name Tachibanakan To Lie Angle (TV) (Shoujo Ai? Recommend - If you don't enjoy that - skip it)

Initial Thoughts  Another 5m series from Creators in Pack. This one has more ecchi than their previous series BUT....

Thoughts on watching: Well kawaii it's a way to phrase but ntohing to interesting. The only reason, If I am going to watch it it's because it's 5m long.

Initial Rating / How's going to perform?  this anime like all creators in pack will fare pretty bad. I highly doubt it can achieve a rating higher than 6. UNLESS the boobs get in the way :D and then probably a rating of 6.5 will be more probable.

Name Real Girl (TV) (Slice of Life with Comedy Recommend But with reservations)

Initial Thoughts He is a Otaku who loves magical girls and she is quite normal girl. But in the first episode he made that trope in anime they make. People with no skills trying hard fighting. It seems they have all courage of a lion! But so far so good. Interesting. The girl reminds me one of the girls from Netsuzou Trap (the one who was abused and went with the flow..). After the kissing and such what will come out of this?
Thoughts on watching: It's nothing impressing or something like that but it's good. Some comedy scenes. 

Initial Rating / How's going to perform? Either this can be a cliche or something new. Rating of either 6 to 7.5. This company made Drifters but most are anime like this one so if I had to throw a realistic number 7 to 7.5.

Name Lupin the Third: Part 5 (TV) (Recommend if you want to get into Lupin the third) 

Initial Thoughts I've watch lupin (the old cartoons) in Portugal TV a long time ago and I enjoy it a lot. This first episode really remind me who lupin and the rest of the characters was. After all this company has being making this anime for 40 years. 

Thoughts on watching: Nostalgia and a good anime. You don't need to know nothing to start here after all they are episodic. You will soon know who is who, after all there are only 4 robbers plus the detective. Everyone else are minor.

Initial Rating / How's going to perform? This anime will have more than 7.5 but no more than 8.

Still going to be released - So I will rate them later on...











Maybe I watch them BUT I have yet to watch all the prequels (SAO and Tokyo Ghoul only watch first season). I am finish High School DxD (6 episodes to go so I bet by the time it air I will be watching it).



Not going to watch - unless I see interesting reviews and such but I bet it won't...

This one is Eldritch Horror. My favorite board game so far. With most expansions (Only missing The Masks of Nyarlathotep & Dreamlands). So I have most different decks and such. The only thing missing are more cards for each deck and the ancient ones decks.

So basically I have one box with all the tokens plus investigators.

Then one of the smaller boxes with all investigators and ancient ones cards plus gates tokens.

Don't mind my work card :)

And then I have these two stands. One with all "big" cards, ancients, locations, mythos etc and another small stand with all conditions and spells.

Usually you don't get a random condition so I separate them in piles to easier access. The only thing that can be a bit problematic is the spells since sometimes they are random but what I do is throw a die and choose one pile to be 1,2 / 3,4 and the last one 5,6. This way it's simpler.

Summer 2014 was a good season for anime. Well lets be real - 2014 overall was quite good with 26 shows with rating above 8 while 2013 had only 17. Comparing per example with 2013 with only 17 and 2015 with 27.

Most shows that have sequels one interesting thing is that the rating usually goes UP while the total people watching goes DOWN. In case of Tokyo Ghoul it didn't happen that way. This one had a rating of 8 while the second season had a rating of 7.45. That's a big drop guys.

Lets be curious about this... In that season we've got some animes that sequels. 

Kuroshitsuji: Book of Circus (8.34) While his sequel had 8.35 and the prequel had 8.00. So it got up. Speed Dandy season 2 had a rating of 8.28 while the first season had 7.88. Hanamonogatari had a rating of 8.08 while the one coming afterward (even if it was a prequel) had a rating of 9.03.  Free!: Eternal Summer had 7.86 while the prequel had 7.59. In my opinion MAL in the ranking boards shouldn't include every single season of anime or lest the top 20 be 6 Gintama or Haikyuu!! and others.. Probably one way to do this was a average of some sorts. I don't know... 

Well lets continue to Tokyo Ghoul. There are a lot of negativity reviews but with that rating something is wrong. The anime is not the best anime of year or even season for that matter BUT it's good.

This series focus on our main character Kaneki as he transforms from a human to a half-ghoul, half-human after Kaneki was critical injured by a woman ghoul called Rize while being herself injured in the process. So he awakes to find that some Rize's organs are inside him and thus he is reborn.

As the story progress, I won't make this a lengthily but from episode 2 or 3 through 7 or 8 is about Kaneki trying to comprehend whats the meaning of being a ghoul and the last four episodes are about a group of ghouls called Aogiri storming one district of the city by night while the police (or doves as they call them) try to recover ground.

But what's a ghoul? A ghoul is basically a half vampire / half ghoul with a weapon called Kagune that leaves his back and it's unique to each one. The police also uses Kagune inside a briefcase to help battle ghouls.

Before everything, I watched the uncensored version so I didn't have the same problem as other people had. I also didn't read the manga. But I know that a lot of stuff felt rushed. That ending was so rushed that the battle between the Aogiri vs Police vs Kaneko's friends didn't even end. 

There are a lot of side characters who appear just to be kill and we are suppose to be real scared by it BUT we aren't. Kaneki which entered that world only a small time it's a pain the ass because he is gutless and always crying. So again, the last episode that transformation - while its good it felt rushed and he become nigh immortal . Here we go again with a overpowered anime MC for second season. I bet that turn people off.

This anime is worth washing for the battle scenes and lore but for PLOT and characterization I wouldn't recommend it.  A lot of blood. The last two episodes while Kaneki suffers being cut a thousand times, cutting fingers and such and breaking bones is quite displeasing. I don't know what was the purpose (probably to make us understand why he absorved the Ghoul part of him?) I don't know...

Overall, I am going to watch season 2 (season 3 is coming) but I don't have much hopes...

I am writing as I watch the show... first time...

Only the japanese to make a history that we see through the eyes of a neko (cat).
First of all it sounds boring but its awesome. I have a cat (and a dog) and always wondered what would they think if it was possible. I don't know. People who loves animals think their cat are special and "think" and such. I can relate to that.

Daru has a simple way of thinking (probably to make it simple for us to understand). From the start she adopts her (and she doesn't care about the cat - even trying to abandoning him) to her days of school to work searching. Throughout her teen life he was there. His "miaus", his ears always searching and such. 

It was very funny to see at times they both say the same thing. The show is so simple yet so pure...

Then he became sadder and sadder - I am sleeping more and more each day...  My body doesn't move as well as it use... Damn this is depressing as hell... I am going to cry I think. I don't want!

Damn you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am depress now...

Alice or Alice
Initial Thoughts: This anime is 4m long so I am going to watch it until the end but it reminds me of other anime that focus on little girl, big voluptuous gelatinous boobs... Don't watch with your parents or any kind of family or friends nearby unless you want them to call the FBI.

The Plot? There was one? I was concentrated in something else...

Not recommended (but if you enjoy stuff like this - it's 3m long so try it) Rating wise - Less than 5.5.


Tada-kun wa Koi wo Shinai (Tada Doesn't Fall in Love)
Initial Thoughts: This is a tale with a foreigner meeting a japanese guy. Funny from the start. It's romance. The first one this season. Unless you consider the crap this was - Kakuriyo -Bed & Breakfast for Spirits or Real Girl. While the first was a copy paste from another anime (or animes) the latter is more focus on comedy and less slice of life. Can't really compare the two. 

If you want a Romance anime mix with Slice of Life - it's highly recommended. Rating wise - Between 7 and 8.


Comic Girls
Initial Thoughts: I initial thought it was comedy but after all this is a show about Cute Girls doing Cute Girls, while living together and learning something new. If you enjoyed shows like Urara, Konohana Kitan, New Game, Yuru Camp (minus the landscape) etc then you sure will enjoy this one as well. For now this is the show to watch before sleeping like the others before.

Recommend if you enjoy the shows I said before. You will not be disappointed. If you don't like cute girls doing cute things then skip it. There is nothing more than this.  Between 6.5/7.5


Megalo Box
Initial Thoughts: Great first episode. The art is old no CGI for noone to conplain but people will complain that the art is so 80's. This is a anniversary edition of Joe (the boxer anime) so I think they really choose correctly.

Recommend if you enjoy the shows the 80/90 shows. If you like boxing but if not it's not that important since it also focus on the characters as well. This show will fare well. I am going to say it's going to have a rating up 7.70.





Saredo Tsumibito wa Ryuu to Odoru (Dance with Dragons)
Initial Thoughts: After ten minutes I was tottally lost. They spat forward so much information and characters that was so confusing.

Not recommended at this point. It may be good but so far it's a mess. Not that good art and writing. I dropped it. Maybe I will try later on when more episodes are out. 

I bet this anime is one of those majority animes that pass this season and in 6 months you can't even remember the name of it... Rating less than 6.5. 




Akkun to Kanojo 
Initial Thoughts: Well another 3m anime about young love. A bit stupid.  Our main character is a monster as he talks to his girlfriend but then when she is around he revers her.

Recommend? I cannot. But since it's only 3m long why not?

Another anime that won't surpass the rating of 6.5

Gurazeni
Initial Thoughts: Well I Think baseball is boring and this anime didn't disapoint me in that regard. Our main character only thinks about how much money everyone do and how he can make more. Boring MC. Boring Plot. Gonna watch another ep but I bet it's going to be drop for me... He doesn't care about the game at all..

Cannot recommend at all. I even bet that the rating will be less than 5.8.

Mahou Shoujo Site
Initial thoughts: This first episode was really a heart breaking episode. So basically for the first 20m we've seen her being bullied by her colleagues,  beaten by her brother and almost raped. Oh and they killed her cat. Talk about suicide call.

I am looking forward to the rest of the anime BUT I don't if they are going to screw up like Ousama Game per example or even Evil or Live.
Recommended but not the faint of heart. Rating between 7 to 8 unless they really screw up then it's going above 6.


Hinamatsuri

Initial thoughts: Don't really know what this anime is about. Comedy? Yakuza ? Super powers? Mix with Slice of Life and coming of age. With a bit in the beginning of isekai/fantasy?

Recommended wholeheartedly.It think this anime will be a top contender in most people top 5 lists.. Rating above 7.5







Boku no Hero Academia 3 Season

Initial thoughts: Need I say more? 2 Season was anime of the Year so... The first ep is the normal swimsuit episode.

Recommended for those who already watch it if not - try it. above 8.5.





Devil's Line

Initial thoughts:Well I need to watch another episode to figure out what to think. For once it's horror but the animation is not that good. Sub-par - very much alike Kokkuku or Tokyo Ghoul (But instead of ghouls are vampires). They sure walk a lot with their eyes closed.... Vampires & some fast pace battles.. 

Recommended with reservations Between 6.5 and 7.5



Nobunaga no Shinobi: Anegawa Ishiyama-hen (3 Season)

Initial thoughts: This is the third season of this 4 minutes anime that mix chibi characters and fictitious with some real historic ones. Quite interesting to watch. Probably one of my favorite 3 to 10m anime. Mix with imprecision this are real historic situations so learn!

Recommended for those who already watch it if not - Go! Unfortunally the rating will be less than 7 but that's good.



Still a lot to come... This season so far it's being quite good and several genres.

Well, Conan was one of the first boardgames I purchase and it wasn't a good buy in my humble opinion, one that I am trying to sell for some time. Lets be real, I bought in on Kickstarter before my child was born and he is almost three years old. So, I am going to try to sell it for a bit more time and if I can't I will keep it and play with my son when he is older. 

Being a kickstarter game and one was very successful it has a lot of extras. More than 150 miniatures so keep everything in order was quite hard BUT I got it... Maybe change I will change and put more like Mythic Battles: Pantheon. 

In the left I have two boxes full of Conan stuff PLUS the boards on top since they are too many (I have two expansions) - Nordheim & Kitai.

So, the first box has individual boxes with their individual cards plus all rulesheet & manual. I also have one hardcover book with additional missions & painting guides and such.

The second box only have a two-sided box where I put all the tokens plus some monsters (most of them are either addons or stretch goals. IT has most of the brute force (the minions). This way I can put on the table in only a couple of minutes. Going to purchase some stickers and stick it to boxes so it's even simpler. I have that in Mythic Battles. I shall put online my storage solution tomorrow.

  Well this was a more recent addition to my boardgame collection. Basically this game a drafting game where you choose a Greek God, Monster, Hero(es) or troops. There is a drafting value and you've got countless combinations to fight against other player (or players) or even against IA. You also have Titans. 

Each one has special powers that make them terryfing. After seveval plays you will learn who goes well with who. For the videos I watched there isn't a single unbeatable team which is awesome. 

Btw, the miniatures are very pretty. I really like them.  There are also scenarios base on greek mythology. In 2019 they are going to release the Mythic Battles: Ragnarock which will be based on Norse Mythology so I am going in no doubt.

I have everything in two boxes. Here I did something different. I put everything from the corebox on the first box and the rest on the second box. I also have the gods and titan all beautiful all line up (photo to come).

 Here we have all the cards and tokens plus that three boxes have troops, heroes and monsters divided.





The second box has all the stretch goals and cards. Interesting I bought four boxes. As you can see the gods have yellow cards so they wen to the yellow box (that sticker is the name of the gods within). I made the same to Monsters (Green) and Heroes (Red , althought they are grey eheh)



This game is quite easy to put on the table without much effort at all :)

Very big!!

Here we go for the Arkham Horror storage solution. It was the first game I physical have since the others were from Kickstarter and I was waiting for them.

I am missing Shadows of Brimstone (which I will make a compilation of entries since I am going to receive a ton of stuff (not a ton but 20 kilos of it?) :D

I will going to make in the near future This War of Mine, Gloomhaven and Trikcerion. Probably not Endure the Stars since I am trying to sell it. Mage Knight, The 7th Continent, Endangered Orphans, Wizards of the Wild, Journey: Wrath of Demons and Kingdom Death don't have any particular storage solution....

As I said I have all the expansions of Arkham Horror minus the Black Goat one which I didn't bought since it had almost nothing to the game.

I have everything in three different compartments. The first is the cards I use in every game. Mythos, Locations, Portals and other smaller cards like spells, items etc...

The second (the photo on the left) is all the cards from the expansions that I MIGHT or NOT use and all tokens. Basically I can put this game to play (after choosing the old one & investigators) in 5 or 10 m (maximum).


Last but not least I have have a dossier with all the old ones, investigators, and other cards.

With 9 seasons and each one with 12 episodes this anime has been around from some time ALTHOUGH  each episode is only 3 minutes long so there's that.

What's this about? Well Teekyuu means Tennis and this is about a Tennis Club girls but the only thing this is not it's an anime about Tennis Club, at all.

Basically this is a show about the antics about four girls Marimo (super-perverted girl), Kanae (physics-law defying girl) , Nasuno (super insanely rich) & Yuri (the normal one). Each one is as different as the other but when they are together stuff happens.


Each episode is individual, there is no connection between them and even if it's only 3 minutes long they have more monologues than most 25m anime. They spitfire entire sentences in 2x velocity of normal beings. At times it's hard just to follow what they are saying. My god. It's an adventure every single episode.

Will not win any kind of awards BUT, as you know there are a lot of 3 to 5m long anime. This one is in top 5 to me and to must lists I've seen in the internet. It's very complex since although it's wacky fun and absurd it never repeats the jokes.

There is also a spin off focus on Nasuno for some reason. She is not the most famous of the series BUT If I had to wonder, I would say it's because she is insanely rich and bought the artists to make a 12 episode show based on her. If you seen Teekyuu is basically the same (the other girls also appear on it). It's called Takamiya Nasuno Desu!

My recommendation? Go watch an episode (the first one if you want). Either you enjoy the premises or don't bother - it's all the same.

Well this is a review about three anime but they are all interconnected althought I didn't watch them in the releasing order.

You've got Itsudatte Bokura no Koi wa 10 Centi Datta (Our love has always been 10 centimeters apart) with 6 episodes of 25m each and focus on Miou & Haruki. Then you have Zutto Mae kara Suki deshita.: Kokuhaku Jikkou Iinkai (HoneyWorks: I've Liked You Since Long Ago) is a movie with 1h that focus on Natsuki & Setoguchi (There is also an interesting small anime called Zutto Mae kara Suki deshita.: Kokuhaku Jikkou Iinkai - Kinyoubi no Ohayou) and the last one is Suki ni Naru Sono Shunkan wo.: Kokuhaku Jikkou Iinkai (Honeyworks: The Moment You Fall in Love) follows Hina, Kotarou, and Koyuki.

This show was made by two companies (Qualia Animation & Layduce) and both these shows are on their top rating with ratings above 8 so that's a good sign for a romance. That's the reason I start watching it and I was really impressed with it.

I know there is a connection between these anime and the band HoneyWork.

Now about the anime.. a LOT of characters. I will put here a really interesting jpg with all the characters and their connections (love or not). It's very mature and nothing cliche like other anime out there (including Just Because or Tamako Market or others I've seen).

Under 4h all stories connected it was very interesting and really worth watching. Overall I would give 8 stars without any doubt. BUT I must point out if you watch only the movies you will not enjoy it that much because  there was almost no time for one to build an attachment to the main characters and feel anything for anyone.

This is how school romance anime should be. I hope to see more about other characters maybe? 

About the art? It's great. Since it was not a full length anime they focus a lot on animation and art style. Now lets start about those music. Damn good. They were all made by the same company (HoneyWorks) and they tell love stories... This is a excellent romance story. There is no ecchi in it and the characters are all very different.

One interesting thought is that althought one of the stories they love one another but can't really tell the other, while in the other story (movie) it's about unrequited love while the third one is about love conquering all barriers and about what's more important (love or career) and about priorities...

Omae wa Mada Gunma wo Shiranai
Innitial Thoughts It looks like an horror anime but in MAL it says comedy, school so... Since it was only 3m I cannot say much. Gonna watch it. Probably one of those that going to grab 3/4 episodes and then watch it one go.

Recommend it? I cannot honestly say so... this one could go either way but since it's a 3m series I bet will not far well...

Persona 5
I can't say I enjoy but I didn't play the game or watch the previous animes. So I won't recommend to anyone. I am going to try later when more episodes are out.









Golden Kamuy
I really like the anime. That fighting sequence in the beginning was really nice BUT that CGI on the bears was pure crap. IF the CGI is going to be like that it will turn off a lot of people.

For an anime that was one of the most eagerly waiting I really hope the improve on the CGI unless it will be deem crap.

Recommend without any reservation BUT the darn CGI... :\ Either 7.5 or more.

Sword Art Online: Alternative Gun Gale Online

I've been watching Sword Art Online (the first season) and I am currently watching the second season (and already disliking it). This one they change the pace and it seems better than the original. Maybe it was because of the team behind it's different because the creator realized what failed in SAO? Don't know. Sounds good UNLESS they screw and go the same way as SAO
Recommended for newcomers or for fans of SAO. Rating above 7 but less than 8.


Nil Admirari no Tenbin: Teito Genwaku Kitan
Good animation and art ( I like this kind of stuff) and don't get me wrong I enjoyed the premise. The all forbidden books that gives vibes away....

BUT I think this is not going to work out as an anime because the first episode gave nothing unfortunally. AND my belief is that it's going the writing are not going to be provided... and it seems it's going to go kind of romance instead of mystery and such.. BUT I could be wrong. Either way, I recommended with reservations. Either rating of 6.5 to 7. Unless they really screw.. then worse than 6.


Piano no Mori

This sounds and the first episode really deliver an interesting take on two boys with different backgrounds who want to be pianists. But it's quite good and interesting. Let us hope it delivers

Recommend to anyone who enjoys slice of life mix with music. Rating above 7.5 but less than 8.



Caligula
This show is quite strange but I kind of like it. I hope it doesn't turn out like Kokkuku which interested me in the beginning then was boring as hell.

Recommend with reservation until I watch a couple more episodes. This show either is going down with less than 6.5 or if it stays like Matrix I bet the rating will be above 7.5.



Cutie Honey Universe
Well, this series follows Honey (again - there are at least 4 or 5 old animes - back from the 70's). It's action oriented plus with some ecchi elements. Josei as well. She changes more times of clothes than Sailor Moon! There are those that say (and they are not wrong) that this was the first magical girl.

It's very weird I must say but probably because I've not watch any of the previous series... Unfortunately there is no nudity (but could have).

I cannot recommend the series to anyone unless you wanna try some Honey series. I am not going to watch it (unless something changes - which I highly doubt). Rating less than 6.5 I bet.

 Fumikiri Jikan
This a 5m anime about youth love. It has comedy and Its slice of life. BUT I think it's going to be also Shoujo AI since in the first ep one of the girls declared to the others.

Recommend to try after all it's only 4m long each episode. But as other less than 5m its never going to have a great rating. Less than 7 of rating.






Rokuhoudou Yotsuiro Biyori 
Unless you watch and enjoyed Isekai Restaurant or other kind of shows with food and imagery I say you are not going to enjoy this.
This is more the same. Relaxing food anime.

Recommend? See above.
I am going to try one more episode or two to see where this is going but unless something happens I am going to drop it because I am disliking food anime where nothing happens. No character development no nada. The one I truly enjoyed was Sweetness and Lightning but that one had a purpose. The connection between a father and a daughter plus a bit of romance.

Layton Mystery Tanteisha
This show is about a girl solving problems. It was really interesting show but it's a bit childish look and feeling. I will continue watching. It calmed me.

Recommend it? Yes to anyone who wants a calming relaxing anime with mixing elements. Will not give a rating because its branded as a kid show and I bet a lof people are not going to watch it. 

Juushinki Pandora

Interesting story about technology gonna bad and evolution turn a 180º route where IA mix with nature thus leading humankind into the brink of extinction. But those CGI elements are really bad and I sincerely wanna drop out BUT... Let us see what this 3D mechas can bring us...

Cannot recommend to anyone. Those CGI and 2D elements turn off most people off. Unless the story is great this series is bound to fail. Less than 6.5.



High School DxD Hero
Unless you watch the previous series don't bother.
Ecchi & action at it's best. Probably one of the best ecchi/nudity shows ever.
You know why? Because the boobs in this show matter. They have a purpose... Yeah I know - but they do.







Steins;Gate 0
Unless you watch the previous anime, don't bother here. Is as good? It's pretty  soon to tell but I am enjoying it. All characters are great. It's a different timeline which even helps newcomers BUT I advice to watch the previous anime. 





Butlers: Chitose Momotose Monogatari
I honestly didn't enjoy or even felt connected with the show. A lot of similar characters with no real qualities or differences to be frank.

Cannot recommend this anime to anyone - unless you want to see cute guys doing something?






Last Period: Owarinaki Rasen no Monogatari
This show was quite interesting as a fantasy setting where a group of people fight monsters. A lot of characters and such in the first ep but nothing too fancy. Probably gonna be one of my drop since it didn't captivated me. Action scenes were not that good. The characters althought different remind me of others in others shows...

Cannot recommend to anyone unless you want to watch a show with cute group doing cute things/fights. I predict this one will have a rating of less than  6.5.

This one is Scythe. A kickstarter boardgame that receive a lot prizes. I think, don't quote me on that but I think it one several awards. Everything is inside the box. I couldn't do it with Eldritch Horror or Shadows of Brimstone or even Gloomhaven.

But here it was easier than the rest since the box is pretty big. I put everything in two identical boxes as you can see below. Two boxes with almost all miniatures and separated cardboard tokens. Some of the cards even fit there.

The rest of the decks have their own plastic around them. But this plastic has one problem... from time to time you have to substitute them because they break. Some printed material I took from BGG (Esoteric Order of Gamers). Beneath everything the board.

Two identical boxes with most stuff.

 This is a good euro game. You can play solo OR with other people. A bit hard to explain to newcomers but it's very good.

All the gang (harem).

Guilly pleasure mix with some facepalm situations...
That's how I think of the Sword Art Online II. This anime had some great premise. I remember enjoying the first episodes of the first SOA but then thinking that Kirito (Kazuto) made Asuna pass from the second most powerful kensai to a housewife and a chef. The last twelve episodes of the first season we almost never see Asuna. 

When we start season 2 I already knew that this season had it's problems and boy it had. First of all we meet another girl Shino and she had some problems. It was very interesting two or three episodes. Enter Kirito and she becomes almost a side character of her show. Twelve episodes later I thought another woman that turn from a lion to a little kitten because of Kirito. Another woman to his harem.

Then we've got some 3 or 4 episodes that really felt like a side-quest of a videogame. Had no purpose at all and then enter the last 6 episodes and probably the better of the 48 episodes. Thus enter Yuuki. A swords-woman more powerful than Kirito and befriends Asuna. With her help and the remaining guild of sleeping knights they do a quest to be remembered. But then the last three episodes really broke my heart - I admit I cried...

Kirito & Asuna in AOL

It seems in the future (this is 2023) terminal patients and other people in pain can "live" inside a virtual world because that way they don't suffer and can live peacefully. I must say I really enjoy this (although there are some questions behind - but it's cool - this is anime).

Well it seems Yuuki has HIV and she is in her final days of life and so she has been playing for two years. The reason they wanted to do that quest was so their names become inscribe in a stone and they could life forever (or until the game lived on) after all most of the sleeping knights had terminal diseases. So the last three episodes were a roller-coaster of emotion and thank the gods Kirito was almost absent.

Sinon the un-important main character...

I think the Sword Art Online is a good franchise but I think the creator of the Light Novel didn't really knew what he was entering when he start writing the first two books. I've read in some forum that he didn't knew how to write female characters and such made them love interest more easier... That's why there is a lot of people who dislike those two books but enjoy some of the latter. First Asuna turns from Strong Female character to another female in his harem. In the second season she is almost absent in the first 12 episodes and only returns in the last 6. Then we've got the girls in the harem. His step-sister who was an important character for 12 episodes "just" exist in the season 2. The same happens with the blacksmith that was important in 2 or 3 episodes in the first season and Asuna and Kirito "Daughter".  Even Sinon who was the main character in the first 14 episodes becomes like all the other minor or irrelevant side characters. And Asuna who don't even care about them being jealous of her relation with Kirito. The situation a bout Asuna and the relation with her mother which I think could have been better. Btw, they entered the world of SAO when they were 14/15 (so middle-school) and left 2 years later



. But at 17/18 they were on the last year of high-school. Argh... hard to swallow.


Another turn-off is the all over-powerful character he is. Kirito is not in the same league of Isekai wa Smartphone to Tomo ni OR Death March kara Hajimaru Isekai Kyousoukyoku but almost. He knows everything and can do anything. When he meets someone he fights one on one but then he eventually wins. the only person he does not win is against Yuuki.


There is a movie (Sword Art Online Movie: Ordinal Scale) out that follows sword art 2 and it's a bridge to sword art online 3 Alicization that will come out in Oct 2018. Gonna watch it. Another girl to the ever growing harem? Alice?

Most influential bands/cds of my life.

Cradle of Filth - Cruelty and the Beast was the first non-heavy metal band I heard and I was enamored with it. The lyrics focusing on Elizabeth Bathory made me look into vampirism and history. It made me what I am. Guys, this album is probably the most influential cd of my life. I had negative marks in english -When I tried to translate them my love for English grew. So tell me, how can this be in number one? I might like more the CD Dusk and Her Embrace in terms of sound BUT this one is the most influential without a single doubt.

Cradle of Filth - Dusk and Her Embrace after purchasing the Cruelty and the Beast I remember purchasing Dusk and it was different but as good. I remember and still do that at the time I didn't enjoy as much and relegated to sideways but now after 20 years I have no doubt to say that Dusk and her Embrace have better sound that cruelty but cruelty is in another tier for me. Nowadays it's probably the CD I hear more besides the new post black metal stuff I tend to hear.

Anorexia Nervosa - Drudhenhaus If Cradle of Filth is my favourite band Anorexia Nervosa is not BUT their Drudhenhaus CD got me loving Symphonic Black Metal again when I was in a more Power Metal phase. It was around 5/6 years after my discovery of Cradle. The lyrics in english, french, german, italian and latin all mix together and the chaos orquestra behind it while the vocalist SCREAMS in a way Dani (from cradle) could not made my love the cd. I've heard this cd every single month for 15 years and still enjoy it. Their other albuns were not as good since they change the style a bit. Later they ended their band because the vocalist left.

Stormlord - War: Supreme Art - I enjoy a lot of Cradle and when I heard Stormlord I thought, well this is it the new leaf of my kind of metal. Alas the band lost her way with their other cds but this one still clings to my heart. The vocals are more akin to Anorexia Nervosa and the lyrics are focus on Roma and Fantasy. It was fast and furious (before the movie existed). The title track has probably the fastest drums I've ever heard.

Desire - Ahh Desire a Portuguese band that I met and heard in real life only a couple of months ago. When I purchase Locus Horrendus I was a fan. Slow doom metal with their mix voices was really awesome. But this band comes into life after my dark moments. If I am hearing them then most probably I am sad and depressed. The Rest of the CD's are also good but Locus Horrendus really hit the mark. If you hear it and read the lyrics probably you gonna be depressed....

Moonspell - Alma Mater - Another portuguese band that I only discover several years after Cradle of Filth. And Alma Matter become a instant favourite with the title track being among my favourite musics. I've heard live several times (3 or 4) I think. The title track Alma Matter played at my wedding, a surprise from my wife - Most people where - what? But heck it's our DAY.

Rhapsody (& Luca Turilli) - If there is a band that never released anything bad it's Rhapsody and Luca Turilli. I enjoy almost all their albuns (although I think the last three are a bit of let down and nothing new was really made). Probably until Rain of Thousand Flames are all good then it's more the same (which is not that bad BUT...) The Village of the Dwarves from the 3 CD play at my wedding as a intro music.

Tvangeste - Firestorm When I was enjoying more and more symphonic metal I discovered Tvangeste. It was a time I was also reading about paganism and such and this cd is a concept cd about baltic paganism and their struggle. I discover Perkunos -and voila, this blog was created. I still hear the CD but nowadays their vocals are not among my favourite I might say. But in terms of sound? One of the best.

Windir I only discovered Winder after he died. I enjoy his viking metal musics but what motivate me to enjoy even more was his act. His first two cds were made by him (only) and he was around 16/17. That's saying a lot. I shall put here one of the musics...

Sirius - At tenth place is Sirius a pretty old black metal band which was one of the first bands of Symphonic Black Metal I heard after they all they play at my school. I didn't enjoy the CD they recorded with the Emperor dudes but the cassete called ...the Eclipse (The Summons of the Warriors of Armageddon). The theme dealt with the cosmos and mysticism. I still have the cassette but no player eheh

I don't know why it's an inverted cross. They are totally not satanic. Oh well...
